Bolt and Nut

Bolts and nuts are indispensable fasteners in power equipment, similar to the “bones and joints” of the human body. They are used to firmly connect various metal components, insulators, hardware, etc., ensuring the safe and stable operation of lines and equipment under multiple working conditions such as wind load, vibration, and current.

Description

Head
The head of a hexagonal bolt has six faces, hence the name hexagonal bolt.
It comes in different sizes, with the diameter usually being larger than the rest of the nut.
It is the most important part of a hexagonal bolt besides the nut.

Bolt

Head: Commonly available are hexagonal, round, or flanged, allowing for quick tightening with a wrench or power tool.

Thread: Standard metric threads (M8, M10, M12, etc.) are also available, as are American or special fine-pitch threads to accommodate varying tightening torque requirements.

Nut
The internal thread that mates with the bolt is also commonly hexagonal, but lock nuts (nylon locking or metal locking) are also available to prevent loosening.

Material
Galvanized carbon steel: Economical and practical, with corrosion resistance suitable for general outdoor environments.

Stainless steel (304/316): Excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for high-corrosion environments such as coastal areas and chemical plants.

High-strength alloy steel (grades 8.8 and 10.9): Provides higher tensile strength and tightening torque, suitable for high-strength fastening requirements over long spans or in wind-loaded areas.
