- Slotted base “foot” allows for quick bolted installation on cross‑arms or brackets
- Oversized slot accommodates slight alignment variations in the field
- Composite Body:
- Silicone Rubber Housing: Hydrophobic, UV‑stabilized surface sheds water and contamination to minimize leakage currents
- Fiberglass Core Rod: High tensile strength (typically 40–70 kN MBL) supports conductor tension, ice and wind loads
- Insulating Fins:
- Multiple sheds (fins) increase creepage distance, reducing flashover risk in polluted or coastal areas
